The Center for Lifelong Learning is a non-credit division of Athens State University, with a mission to provide opportunities for
our University students and the surrounding community to participate in community activities and educational opportunities that meet the career
development and personal enrichment needs of our region.
The Center for Lifelong Learning extends to the community the benefits of the academic excellence of the University by offering innovative,
high-quality, flexible programs designed to enrich the quality of life and promote economic and personal development for all people.
The Center for Lifelong Learning is committed to the fulfillment of the following goals:
- The CLL will be recognized as a community resource for professional, career, personal enrichment, and economic development goals through
educational, social and cultural activities.
- ASU and the surrounding community will have access to intellectual, social and cultural activities to provide opportunities to expand their
horizons and provide enrichment.
- Surrounding business and industry, education, and government entities will have access to University and community resources in the form of
education and training programs to meet and facilitate diverse needs.
- The CLL will expand the number and scope of activities to increase the number of participants by 10% on an annual basis.
