University Centers
Athens State University has established several University Centers. The centers were created to bring baccalaureate degree offerings to Alabama College System institutions through the use of on-site classes, telecommunication classes, and internet classes.

Rainsville - Northeast Alabama Community College
Hanceville - Wallace State Community College

Students pursuing their degree through any of our University Center Sites are eligible for financial aid under the same terms and conditions as any other Athens State University Student. Athens State University offers a wide-range of financial aid and scholarship opportunities available to all students through the financial aid department. In addition, scholarships are offered through the Athens State University Foundation and the Athens State University Alumni Association.


Northeast Alabama Community Center
Athens State University Northeast Center offers an opportunity to continue your education close to home. The Northeast Center is a partnership between Athens State University & Northeast Alabama Community College designed to allow students to transfer into Athens State University baccalaureate degree programs while attending most coursework on the Rainsville campus. The Athens State University Center is located in the Beck Health and Fine Arts Building in Room 107. Virginia Harris is the center manager and is available to meet with students. Ms. Harris' office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. She can be contacted at 256-638-3736 or by email.

Northwest Shoals Community College Center
Athens State University NW Shoals Center offers an opportunity to continue your education close to home.  The NW Shoals Center is a partnership between Athens State University and NW Shoals Community College designed to allow students to transfer into Athens State University baccalaureate degree programs while completing some coursework on the NW Shoals and Phil Campbell campuses.  The Athens State University Center is located in the Bevill Center in Room 150A.  Nora Lee is the center manager and is available to meet with students.  She can be contacted at 256-331-6284 for the NW Shoals office, 256-331-8084 for the Phil Campbell campus office, or by email.

Snead State Community College Center
Athens State University Snead State Center offers an opportunity to continue your education close to home.  The Snead State Center is a partnership between Athens State University and Snead State Community College designed to allow students to transfer into Athens State University baccalaureate degree programs while completing some coursework on the Snead State campus.  The Athens State University Center is located in the Administration Building in Room 111.  Alecia White is the center manager and is available to meet with students.  She can be contacted at 256-840-4122 or by email.

Wallace State Community College
Athens State University Hanceville Center offers an opportunity to continue your education close to home. The Hanceville Center is a partnership between Athens State University & Wallace State Community College designed to allow students to transfer into Athens State University baccalaureate degree programs while attending most coursework on the Hanceville campus.

The Athens State University Center is located on the 9th floor of the Bailey Building. The center is located at the heart of the Wallace State campus. Classrooms and distance learning facilities are located in the Hanceville Center. Ms. Helen Marks is the center manager, and her office hours are: Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM. Athens State University Wallace Selma Center offers an opportunity to continue your education close to home.  The Wallace Selma Center is a partnership between Athens State University and Wallace State Community College at Selma designed to allow students to transfer into Athens State University baccalaureate degree programs while completing some coursework on the Wallace Selma campus.  The Athens State University Center is located in the Administration Building in Room 108.  Jowanda Cobb is the center manager and is available to meet with students.  She can be contacted at 334-876-9421 or by email.
