1.
What do you believe are the two most important criteria for an IEP form?
example:
It is important that the IEP form include all of the information that is legally required by IDEA. It is also important that the form be clear, simple, and direct so that it can be easily understood by parents, teachers, and students. There should be ample room for recording PLOPs, special education and related services, and goals and objectives. For a sample IEP form that is both legally correct and educationally useful, see pages 97 - 99 in Bateman and Linden (1998),
Better IEPs.
2.
In this IEP Fundamentals module, a number of resources are referred to, other than the IDEA statute itself, which provide further information about the requirements and implementation of IEPs. Name three of these resources.
example:
Appendix C to 34 CFR Part 300 (1981)
Appendix A to 34 CFR Part 300 (1999)
IDEA Regulations (34 CFR 300.340 - 350) (1999)
