Guide to Entry
A student must file an Admission Application and pay the application fee.
A student must request from each transferring school the OFFICIAL academic transcripts be sent to the Admissions Office at Athens State University.
A student must contact the Financial Aid Office immediately (if applicable) to apply for financial aid, i.e., federal, state, or employer sponsored tuition assistance plans.
Upon completion of an admission application and declaring a major, your name and address will be sent to the appropriate school. The school will assign a faculty advisor and send a letter informing you who your advisor will be. You should plan a meeting with your assigned advisor your first semester at Athens State University.
A student must ensure that all OFFICIAL ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPTS have been received by the Admissions Office of Athens State University during the first semester of enrollment.
As a new student you will be assigned an e-mail address. This e-mail address is the major form of communication that is used by faculty and staff of Athens State University to communicate with students. Upon registering for the first time this e-mail account will become active. No other e-mail address will be used. Please take time after registering to view your student e-mail account.
