ATTENTION:  ALL NEW STUDENTS: IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTATION
According to State Board Policy 801.01: Admissions, September 2008; all new students will be required to provide one(1) Primary form of Documentation 

Unexpired Alabama Driver’s License, unexpired U.S. passport, Resident Alien Card – pre 1997, etc.) or two (2) Secondary Forms of Documentation, one of which must be a photo identification card. ( U.S. military ID card, social security card, credit card,etc.) in order to be admitted to the Alabama Community College System .  AN APPLICANT MUST SUBMIT THE DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED ABOVE IN PERSON OR THROUGH A NOTARIZED COPY BY U.S. MAIL. 

Admissions

Athens State University admits students every semester. Admission standards require that you must have completed at least 60-64 semester  hours of college credit with a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or have earned a two-year associate’s degree. Applying for admission to Athens State requires a small non-refundable application fee. Official copies of all transcripts from all college and universities you have attended must be received before you can be admitted unconditionally. Students will be admitted conditionally until all official transcripts are received.  Application is easy.
