Mark Lambert, Athens State University alumnus, recently received the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation’s Medal of Honor Excellence in Character Education Award. The award recognizes an elementary, middle, and high school educator for their excellence in teaching the Medal of Honor Character Development Program (CDP).
Lambert is currently an 8th grade history teacher at Monrovia Middle School. He is one of only four educators across the United States selected for this award each year. The medals were presented on October 6, 2018 through the support of The Corrine and Lenny Sands Family Foundation.
