Athens State University alumni and fans are invited to join faculty, staff, and students in wearing their college colors to work and school tomorrow, September 1, and use the hashtags #CollegeColorsDay and #BlueForTheBear! when sharing pictures on social media.

According to Gordon Stone, Executive Director of the Higher Education Partnership, “We celebrate universities because of the difference they make for every Alabamian. Alabama’s 14 public universities provide excellent educational pathways for every student to achieve their career dreams and are leaders in research and innovation. With a more than $20 billion collective impact on Alabama, universities are powerful drivers for the economy of the state.”

No matter the university that is favored, the Higher Education Partnership encourages every Alabamian to show their school spirit by wearing the school’s colors, sharing on social media, and using the hashtag #CollegeColorsDay on September 1.
