Research Interests: Logistics, Information Systems, Organizational Behavior, Quality, and Automation of Academic Data Management

Areas of Expertise: Logistics, MIS, Database Design and Development, Motivational Theory, and Quality

Professional Experience: 1986 - 1998: Logistics Analyst, US Air Force. Managed a variety of logistics operations to include receiving, inventory control, life cycle management, logistics optimization, procurement, auditing, and warehouse design and management. Other duties included systems analysis and design, database development, quality assurance, and development of new logistics procedures.

1998 - 2013: Founder and President of SAMIR Systems, Inc. Managed operation of the firm and oversaw the development of software solutions and the design and implementation of networks within a variety of organizations. Other duties included screening, hiring, and management of personnel.

Sample Software Development: Faculty Credentials Database System: This web-based system is used to track and manage faculty credentials, and to generate resumes/CVs.

Student Early Intervention System: This system allows an instructor to submit early intervention notices to advisors and to a central database that is used to implement and track intervention strategies in an effort to improve retention rates.

Assessment Database System: This system enables the management and assessment of institutional, program, and course outcome results.

Inventory Tracking and Management System: This database system interfaces with the Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) and is used to assist logistics managers in maintaining proper inventory levels.

Training Database System: This database system allows training managers to effectively manage a variety of training records.

Personnel Management System: This multi-user system manages employee records. Training completed, salary progression, and other personnel data is tracked by the system.

Quality Assurance Tracking System: This system is used to log chemical and biological tests to meet USDA standards. The system is capable of producing a variety of reports for management and USDA personnel.

Medical Records Management System: This system is used to manage patient medical records.

Foundation Management System: This system tracks and manages college and university foundation donor and potential donor records.

Customer Service Management System: This system was developed for an Internet Service Provider to manage incoming calls to the helpdesk.

Alumni Database System: This system tracks Alumni donations and contact information and provides a variety of reports used by academic institutions.

Faculty Annual Review Database: This system automates the faculty annual review report generation process and the faculty cumulative annual reports process.
