Note:   Beginning Fall 2010, students no longer need to bring a Signed Plan of Study to their interview.  Since we are using SAM, this is not required

Procedures for applying for TEP

STEP 1:   Submit online TEP Program application

  • October 10, 2010– last day to submit TEP application
  • Directions to submit online TEP application:
  • Go the Athens State University home page.
  • Go to ASU Online.  Log in.
  • Go to Students.
  • Go to the TEP Application link.
  • Select current term and complete application.

STEP 2:  Once TEP application has been successfully submitted, student should email advisor to  request Plan of Study be updated. 

STEP 3:  An auto-generated email will be sent to students who have been approved by their advisors to schedule the TEP interview.  Students who are denied will also be notified by email.  Questions should be emailed to the student’s advisor.

STEP 4:  Students schedule TEP interview and submit portfolio in LiveText by November 14th deadline.

  • November 2-14,  2010--Students who have been cleared by their Advisor must return to their ASU Online account to select an interview time and panel.  THIS STEP IS WHERE YOU MAKE YOUR RESERVATION TO INTERVIEW. 
  • November  2-14, 2010– Students must submit LiveText portfolio for review by faculty

STEP 5:  Student attends TEP interview at time and location notified by email. 

  • November 29-December 3 AND December 6-7, 2010– time frame for TEP interviews

STEP 6:  After interview and approval of portfolio, notification of TEP admittance will be sent electronically to individual students.
