Personalizing my LiveText Account

Why do I need to update my account settings?

It is very important for faculty and students to correctly enter their account information. In order for your courses to correctly be imported into your Livetext account your personal information must be correct. To verify that your account has been setup correctly, complete the following:

1. Log into your account

2. Select “my account” (upper right-hand side)

3. Scroll to “member information” and verify that your correct birthday is listed 4. Scroll to “School information” and verify that the information entered is correct **For faculty ID (enter the last 5 digits of your faculty ID number – do not enter the first three zeroes) **For student ID (enter the entire 8-digit student ID number – this number begins with three zeroes **Please verify that your school email address is listed correctly. This should be the webmail/email address assigned to you by ASU

How do I update my standard set?

There are many, many standards listed in Livetext. It is very wise to personalize your standards set to include only those you will use. At any time in the future you can browse and use additional standard sets, but personalizing your account will keep you from having to constantly search for the standard sets you use most frequently.

5. While in the same “my account” area scroll to “Standards Sets”

6. Select the “edit” button

7. To remove standard sets **Select the standard sets you want to remove and then select “remove”

8. To add standard sets **Select the “add” button **A page will appear titled “Choose Standard Sets” – this is only the first of many pages. You will have to browse through the pages to find the standards sets that you need. **Once a set has been located check the box next to the standard set and then select “add”. You cannot proceed to a different page before adding a selected standard set or the selection will be removed.

How do I personalize my Livetext account?

You currently cannot personalize your Livetext account by changing the colors. However, this option should be available in the future. When creating documents, assessments, and templates you can add color and design to them.
