Getting Started with Tegrity
Here you will find help using the ASU blackboard software add-on Tegrity. Tegrity is the software used by ASU to deliver course content through blackboard. Getting your computer ready to use Tegrity requires some effort. Once you get everything set up correctly, you will hardly notice that you are using it. Tegrity uses some plug-ins that you may not have installed. Most of what you need can be found on the ASU blackboard homepage. The links are on the bottom left of the menu. When you open the blackboard page you will see this menu at the bottom left.

Listed below are the basic system requirements needed to run Tegrity. Most of these requirements should already be on your system.

Before you begin you must turn off your pop-up blocker. All tegrity sessions run in a pop-up window, you must turn off the pop-up blocker. Disable your pop-up blocker now before you start. To disable your pop-up blocker using Microsoft Internet Explorer do the following;
1. Click the Tools tab at the top right. This will give you a drop down menu.
2. Position the cursor over the Pop-up Blocker line, this will give you two more menu choices.
3. Click on Turn Off Pop-up Blocker.
Below is what you will see when you are doing this.

If you are using a different Internet Browser, click this link to see directions on how to disable other Browsers pop-up blockers.

After you have disabled your pop-up blocker the next thing to do is test your computer to see if your computer has what is needed to run Tegrity. The components test will test your computer to see if you are ready to run Tegrity based course content. If you are missing components you will be directed to download them during the test. Follow the instructions and links given to download the needed components. To start the test, click the components test like shown below. The menu is on the bottom left of the Blackboard home page.
