Reading is Fun
Each year, the Rho Gamma Chapter participates in Reading is Fun Week. RIF is a children's literacy program sponsored by Kappa Delta Pi. Dr. Newman, our Foundation Representative, writes the grant each year. Proceeds from the grant are used to purchase books, which are donated to local schools.
Achieving Chapter Excellence (ACE) Award
The ACE (Achieving Chapter Excellence) Awards Program was established in 1995. Chapters which document their support of the Society's mission at a superior level receive the ACE Award. Outstanding chapters are awarded the ACE Award at the Kappa Delta Pi Biennial Convocation. The ACE Award was presented to our Rho Gamma Chapter in 1999, 2001, 2003, and 2005.
Fiddlers Convention Fundraiser
Annual fundraising is held on the campus of Athens State University in conjunction with the Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention each October. Proceeds are used for local scholarships and for convocation expenses.
