Educational Technology Minor
WHAT IS THE EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY MINOR ABOUT?
The Educational Technology Minor is designed to meet the needs of educators who seek to utilize new technologies in their classrooms, schools and educational and training settings. Students in the program have the opportunity to explore and improve their skills in the use of educational technologies and online teaching and learning. Students who complete the Minor in Educational Technology will potentially possess an advantage when seeking employment in educational settings such as K-12 schools, or in industries that value the employee’s ability to apply learning principles to create effective learning environments.

IS THE EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY MINOR THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR YOU?
Two audiences exist for the Minor in Educational Technology - students pursuing careers in education and those preparing for careers in health and wellness, government, business, and industry. Employers in today’s workforce need candidates who can work with team members, think critically, and take initiative to solve problems.

HOW DO I ADD THE MINOR TO MY DEGREE PLAN?
Discuss the minor with your advisor. If you both agree that the minor is right for you, then compete and submit a Change of Major Form to the Records Office.

WHAT ARE THE EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY MINOR REQUIREMENTS?
To complete the Minor in Instructional Design, 18 hours of specified course work are required. See the current catalog for program details.
