If
you are a student or alumnus of Athens State, you are eligible
to register with the Career Services job placement program.
There are 3 job assistance programs at Athens State University:
- Student Employment
Also referred to as Job Location and Development (JLD),
this program assists students while in college to find
a part-time, full-time or seasonal job to gain experience
in a career field and aid in financing their educational
expenses. Sometimes, paid and unpaid internships are also
advertised through this program. Click
here to download an application.
- Professional Placement
This program assists students who are close to graduation,
to find an entry-level professional position in their
chosen career field. It is recommended that students begin
this process of establishing a credentials file, including
a résumé, at least six (6) months before
they graduate. For the educational application click
here; all other majors visit this
page.
- Cooperative Education
The Cooperative Education program provides students with
work experience in their chosen field of study. The program
enables students to combine classroom instruction with
practical, on-the-job experience in industry, business,
government, or in a service organization. The objective
of the program is to develop a balance between academic
and work experience in the student's major field of interest.
