| Counseling Services |
A licensed professional counselor is available by appointment to discuss personal, developmental or career-related issues with currently enrolled students on a brief-counseling basis.
You may face difficult times while attending college. A counselor is available to help you deal with stress management, time management, study skills, test anxiety, mixed or overwhelmed feelings about returning to school, personal relationships, personal loss, career decisions, or job skill development. Referral to agencies or private practitioners within the community for long-term counseling is occasionally recommended, depending upon the nature of the concern.
All counseling services are provided with your confidentiality in mind.
Additionally, the office offers several interest, ability, values and personality inventories, which may aid you during your career decision-making process.
Contact Ms. Maureen J. Chemsak , LPC, NCC, NCCC for an appointment 256-233-8285.
