Our Mission

The Center for Instructional Technology (CIT) was established in 2008 and supports the academic mission of Athens State University by working with instructors to find innovative ways of using technology. CIT staff assist instructors with the use of Blackboard, Tegrity, and Wimba, promote effective teaching practices and work with faculty to examine the effect of technology on student outcomes. CIT is part of Academic Affairs, is headed by the Coordinator of Faculty Services and is advised by various University committees.
