Business Resources - Industry Information
Information on specific industries is useful as background information, for comparison and analysis purposes, and for spotting trends. Several reputable organizations and companies publish industry reports. For the most comprehensive view of an industry, you should look at more than one of these sources.
- Brief industry reports are available in ValueLine, a print resource. This also includes summary reports on public companies. It can be found in the Reference section of the Library.
- The U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics produces Industry at a Glance, a series of reports on the nine primary industry categories. Each report contains current summary information and has links to more detailed data. Connect to the Bureau of Labor Statistics through the "Other Resources-Government & Politics" link on the Library's home page.
