Library Skills Tutorial
Beginning the Tutorial - Instructions
You will need Netscape 4.0 or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 on your computer to use this Tutorial.
To navigate the tutorial, always make sure you read the entire screen. There is a navigation bar at the bottom of every screen. You can click on the HELP button at any time to get these directions again. On the opposite side of the navigation bar is a set of three buttons. The BACK button will take you to the previous screen in the tutorial. Use it if you feel you have missed something, but it is also useful for refreshing information. The HOME button will bring you to the first page in this site. From that page you can restart the tutorial, revisit the general tutorial instructions, or find out about the site and its developers. The button on the far right of the navigation bar is the NEXT button. It will take you to the next screen of the tutorial. Sometimes the next button will not advance you to the next page because you are required to click on an image, or hotspot, to proceed to the next screen, but in those instances it will be made clear to you where you should click. If you need additional help with the Tutorial, contact the Library Reference Desk at 256-233-8267.
Click the NEXT button on the navigation bar below to begin the tutorial.
