The Library Web Page
To find information about the library, to search for books, journal articles, or Internet resources, or to investigate other libraries, you should start with the library home page. Our URL is http://www.athens.edu/library.
The library home page looks like this:
On the left of the screen you will see the MENU. By selecting one of the menu items, you can move to the next step in your research.
To find out how to use any of these selections, click on the links below.
- For information about the services provided by the library, click on Library Services.
- To see what books the library owns, click on Online Catalog.
- To search for journal and magazine articles in hundreds of periodical publications, using scholarly subscription databases, click on Electronic Databases.
- If you want to know if the library provides electronic access to the full text of a journal, click on Electronic Journals.
- To search for books that you can view and read online, click on Electronic Books.
- For a list of good free Internet resources in a variety of subject areas, click on Helpful Internet Resources.
- For information about the Alabama Virtual Library, click on Alabama Virtual Library.
- If you want to connect to other libraries in the area, state, or country, click on Other Libraries.
- For information about the library, its hours, policies, layout, personnel, and the Athens State Archives, click on About the Library.
- To send a question or comment to the library by e-mail, click on Contact Us.
