Can you find Newspapers on the Web?

Many newspapers have web sites that provide at least part of their daily publications online. For example, the Huntsville Times, Birmingham News, and Mobile Register can all be accessed through al.com. Other newspapers require either a subscription or registration to read their articles, and some have a pay-per-article policy.

The Athens State library subscribes to Newspaper Source from EBSCO, which provides selected full text for over 180 regional U.S. newspapers, international newspapers, newswires, newspaper columns and other sources, as well as indexing and abstracts for national newspapers. It is updated daily. Newspaper Source can be accessed through the "Databases" link on the library home page.
