This program is designed to develop professional leadership skills and provide training for professionals in education and business, including:

  • Others in Corporate Training positions

This program aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to understand the adult learner, teaching trends, current issues in the field, and pedagogical and andragogical practices. It provides a strong philosophical and historical perspective of career and technical education.

  • The Master of Education in Career and Technical Education program is offered entirely online
  • 15 hours of core course requirements
  • 9 hours in an option area
  • 6 hours of CTE option and/or CTE electives

This degree meets the requirements for Technical Educators who wish to pursue ALSDE Sixth-year Equivalent Technical Education Certificate under Option 2.

UNCONDITIONAL ADMISSION

  • Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution and a minimum 3.0 GPA (4.0 scale)

CONDITIONAL ADMISSION

  • Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution and a minimum 2.5 GPA (4.0 scale)
