Athens State University student Maria Rodriguez was recently awarded the 2017 Delta Mu Delta Regional Award, along with a $500 scholarship, by the organization’s Board of Directors and the Scholarship Committee. Awards are based on scholastic achievement, leadership qualities, and character/ethical behavior.

“This is an honor for Maria and the Athens State Chapter of Delta Mu Delta,” said chapter co-adviser Dr. Kim Roberts. “Maria is a deserving, high-caliber student who is actively involved on campus, and we are very proud of her.”

Rodriguez is a junior from Decatur majoring in Accounting.
