Here are some essentials for the student/adjunct email switch over:
1. You will NOT use the "@webmail.athens.edu" part of your current login to login to new email system. If your normal login is "smccullo1@webmail.ahtens.edu", your login for the new system will be "smccullo1".
2. Your email address will NOT change.
3. Your PIN/password will NOT change.
4. If you have not looked at the Documentation for the new system, please take a moment to get familiar with the basics before the switch. You will find documentation at this link : Documentation For New Email System.
You may also want to visit:

5. Your mailbox in the system will hold a maximum of 20 MBs of messages and attachments (combined). This is a change from the old system, which was unlimited, which led to problems with the system. The intent of the email system is to communicate. If you have been using the email system as a place to keep all your messages, you will need to find another way of storing your messages.
6. The largest email message, including attachments, that you will be able to send and receive is 5 MBs. This is also a change. The old system was unlimited, which also caused problems with the system.
7. If you are not currently attending classes at Athens State and you have not taken a class with Athens State in the last two semesters, your account will no longer work.
8. If you still have email messages you want, you need to print them or forward them one at a time, to another account. Use the following links to access your original email account (You will no longer be able to send or receive any additional email from your original account):

***If you cannot login to the new email system, please go to ASU Online (where you go to register for classes), click on "Personal Information," click on "Email IT for email assistance" (should be at the bottom), tell us what is happening, click "Submit," then click on "Submit Email." This is the quickest way to get the problem resolved.
Please be specific with the description of your problem, e.g., "I entered smccull1 for my ID and 753951 for my PIN and it told me I entered a wrong name or password." If you had an error such as the example, we need to know what you entered to ensure it matches what is in the database.***
