School of Education Candidates must receive a grade of "C" or higher in Teaching Field and Professional Studies courses. 

A = The course was passed “with flying colors.” Pedagogy and course knowledge were exceptional quality. 

B = The course was passed. Pedagogy and course knowledge were of good quality.

C = The course was barely passed. Pedagogy and course knowledge were of minimum quality. 

D = The course was barely failed. Pedagogy and course knowledge need practice and further study in order to meet minimum requirements. It is the professor’s opinion that the student can only accomplish this by retaking the course.

F = The course was far from being passed. Pedagogy and course knowledge need extensive practice and further study in order to meet minimum requirements. It is the professor’s opinion that the student can only accomplish this by retaking the course.

I = The course was incomplete for an unavoidable reason and can be made up within the next semester without retaking the course. The specifics of this arrangement will be worked out with the professor and the student. 

W = A completed withdrawal form was received from the Admissions Office. The course must be retaken as if it had never been taken before.
