Are you writing a paper for your Psychology course after switching majors or pursuing a degree in the business school? APA Style provides guidelines for publication and is used widely as a method for systematizing references in researched essays and papers at Athens State. Come to this workshop to learn how to avoid plagiarism. We’ll cover the basics of APA, including title page format, basic documentation for books, journals, and websites, and source integration. This overview workshop will give you the opportunity to have hands-on experience with this style.

Do “peer-reviewed,” “scholarly,” and “reputable” all sound the same to you? Do you wonder why you should have to use a certain type of source? This workshop will cover what these terms mean, how they apply to good research, and how you can distinguish types of sources.

This workshop will offer strategies for you to be able to find the research you need and to develop a purpose for your paper, while remaining flexible as you encounter new information and ideas.
