About Belinda Krigel

Chief Information Officer

Belinda Krigel joined Athens State University in August 2012 as the institution’s first Chief Information Officer.  Prior to joining Athens State, she served as director of Client Support Services at Tennessee State University from 2002 to 2012 where she led a team to deliver technical services for students, faculty, and staff in both academic and administrative applications.

Beginning in 1988, Ms. Krigel spent fourteen years at Colorado State University Pueblo working in the Computer Information Systems department where she focused on academic computing and network management prior to moving to Unix system administration.  Ms. Krigel’s early career experiences also include three years full-time at Columbia College as an instructor of computer information systems.

Ms. Krigel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Data Processing, a Masters of Sciences in Information Systems from Arkansas State University, and is currently a doctoral student in Information Systems at Nova Southeastern University.
