Sherlock Holmes’ enthusiasts will be invited on specialized side excursions including to 221B Baker Street, the Criterion, Simpson’s-in-the-Strand, and the Lyceum Theatre. Also, various Holmes’ statues, museums, tributes, and bridges traversed by Holmes and Watson will add to resolving many mysteries for fans of London’s (and the world’s) most famous fictional detective.

Dr. Kevin Dupré, Athens State Professor of English who teaches British literature courses, will guide any would-be sleuth’s on these jaunts during some of the downtime during the trip from March 17-26, 2016. Dr. Bob Glenn, Athens State President and avid lifelong fan of Sherlock Holmes, will also share his expertise on Sherlock Holmes at the trip presentation.

Dr. and Mrs. Glenn will host High Tea at 6:00 pm on Monday, August 17th at their home. Join us to hear more about the British Landscapes trip, Sherlock Holmes highlights and to view Dr. Glenn’s Sherlock Holmes memorabilia room. Call the Office of Alumni Affairs at 256-233-8185 or by email by August 14th for more details or to RSVP for the presentation.

The price of the 10 day trip includes round trip airfare from Huntsville, hotel transfers and 12 meals. Rates start at $3,599 per person for double occupancy accommodations, if booked by September 11th, 2015. Extra fees may apply for the Sherlock Holmes excursions.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
