The purpose of the Faculty Senate is to aid Athens State University in making judgments on questions of policy, development, and operations and thereby to assist the University in its continuing quest for excellence.
It seeks to accomplish this goal by:
- The facilitation and encouragement of meaningful input on matters of faculty concern.
- Providing an accessible channel of communication through which dialogue and exchange of thoughts and ideas may be carried on between the Faculty and University Officials.
