    Program Options

    Health & Wellness Management

The Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Wellness Management provides students with a strong foundation on the basic biomechanical and physiological principles associated with human movement and the basic wellness concepts conducive to healthy lifestyles. Program graduates will have the skills and competencies necessary to pursue graduate studies, gain employment in a variety of health, fitness, sports medicine, and public safety career fields.

    Health Science

The Health Science degree program culminates in a baccalaureate degree for nursing professionals or for students certified in allied health fields, including, but not limited to, dental hygiene, medical records, medical technology, health physics, or animal health technology.

Program graduates will possess the skills and competencies necessary to analyze the core elements of health care policies and develop effective strategies to ensure that quality health care is provided.

Health Science – Health Care Administration

A Health Science degree with the Health Care Administration option is designed to build leadership, management, and administrative skills for students who are allied health professionals and/or who are licensed in a health professional discipline, such as nursing, physical therapy, radiography, paramedics, and respiratory therapy. This program prepares graduates for entry-level to mid-level leadership and administrative positions in a full array of healthcare organizations, including:

    • Hospitals
    • Ambulatory care centers
    • Surgery centers
    • Medical practices
    • Home healthcare agencies

Graduates may also find employment as consultants or with companies serving as vendors to the healthcare industry, as well as government healthcare agencies. This program provides training for positions in which clinical knowledge expertise is applied in a healthcare leadership and administrative environment.

Undergraduate students, especially those with allied health licensure, who plan to seek admission to health administration, health informatics, medical records, or other graduate-level health professional academic programs may also apply for admission to the option. Prerequisites for admission to the program can be integrated into the course of study if needed.
