Tips for Getting Tickets Resolved Faster

How to Expedite your Request

To expedite your request, always use your Athens State Email Account when submitting a ticket to the Help Desk.

Please include the following information when submitting your request:

  • Your First Name and Last Name
  • Your Athens Email Address
  • Your Student or Employee ID number (ex. 00012345)
  • Your phone number
  • If the problem is related to a specific course, the Course Name and Instructor as they appear in Blackboard
  • A detailed description of the problem
  • Preferred method of contacting you and times you are available for a follow-up
  • If you are receiving an error message, a screen shot is always helpful

NOTE:

  • If you want faster service DO NOT contact specific ATS personnel directly. If they are out of the office for an extended period you will not receive assistance until they return. Please contact the Help Desk directly.
  • If you have issues with Blackboard, call us for faster service during standard hours.

EXTENDED AND AFTER HOURS: If you are working during extended hours or after hours please submit a ticket. A resolution may not occur until standard hours.
