The Athens State University student chapter of American Association of University Women (AAUW) , alongside Crisis Services of North Alabama, is hosting a free event to bring awareness of domestic violence in the community. The occasion will be held on Tuesday, October 9 in the McCandless Hall Auditorium and will feature executive board member for Crisis Services of North Alabama, Kerri Davis, as the guest speaker. Opening music will be performed by Susan Hood.
Domestic violence is prevalent everywhere, and it can be difficult to see the signs. The goal of this seminar is to educate the community of the indicators of domestic violence and how to respond to various scenarios if they occur.
