New Art Honor Society, Kappa Pi, Initiates Members

At the end of last semester Athens State University initiated 9 students into the Kappa Pi International Art Honor Society. The ceremony was held December 4 in the Parlor of Founders Hall.

Kappa Pi is an international honorary art fraternity with the purpose of uniting artists who care about art and its role in life. This fraternity bonds conscientious artists together to form a unit which is influential in the art department as well as the community.

Members of Kappa Pi must have completed 12 semester hours in art, attain an overall B average in art courses, have an overall academic average of C, and produce outstanding artwork. Members are chosen by faculty members of the art department at Athens State.
