About Our Nursing Program
The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted just how critical healthcare professionals like you are to the well-being of our society. It also taught us that many avenues lead to impact, and if you’re in need of a change, there’s never been a better time to advance your credentials.
Whether you’re looking to go on to graduate nursing studies or upskill for a more fulfilling career, the online RN-BSN program at Athens State University will help you achieve your unique goals. Our affordable tuition, supportive faculty, and flexible online learning environment will empower you to succeed in the classroom and beyond, preparing you to become the nursing leader you’ve always known you could be.
The RN to BSN Program provides a pathway to success for registered nurses seeking a baccalaureate degree in nursing. The program provides student-centered learning experiences in a supportive environment to prepare registered nurses to assume leadership positions, manage complex clinical care, and improve the health and welfare of the individuals and populations within their community and across the nation. The RN to BSN program fosters life-long personal and professional development and offers a variety of direct and indirect experiential learning opportunities to correlate student learning with contemporary healthcare systems.
Why Choose Athens State for Your Nursing Degree?
We developed this program based on conversations with local employers who expressed the need for better-trained nurses, making career readiness our main priotrity.
The online curriculum doesn’t simply boast lectures and online discussions but makes use of faculty members’ work in the field, with videos and interactive lessons that showcase real-world examples.
As the university with the lowest cost of attendance of all public, state institutions in Alabama, Athens State provides you the best value for your investment.
