The goal of Students of Scripture is to encourage interested individuals to study the Bible. We hope to conduct regular (weekly) meetings in which the Bible's text will be presented and discussed.

Behavioral Science Club
The purpose of the Behavioral Science Club is to provide students interested in the social sciences an avenue for expanding their knowledge in psychology, sociology, and behavioral science while providing a sense of identity for the majors. Students are offered opportunities for professional development, intellectual discussions of social issues, and exploration of applied aspects of the field.

American Association of University Women Student Organization (AAUW)
The American Association of University Women Student Organization (AAUW) is an organization that empowers women and girls individually and collectively. For more than 130 years, the organization has sought to improve women's lives in the areas of equal pay, leadership, scholarship, gender equity, and public policy. The Student Organization was added to the AAUW national organization in the fall of 2014.

Baptist Campus Ministries
Baptist Campus Ministries (BCM) is a partnership project of the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions and the local association of Baptist churches. BCM is a student-led campus organization for the purpose of reaching students for Christ and helping them grow in faithful discipleship, Christian leadership, and mission service. In Alabama, BCM groups on community college campuses are primarily led by volunteers from the local association of churches and the campus community. Alabama Baptists have Baptist Campus Ministry groups on all public four-year colleges and universities as well as most community college campuses in our state.

Cyber-Frontiers
The Cyber-Frontiers Club promotes cybersecurity awareness for Athens State University faculty, staff, students, and the community. The Cyber-Frontiers Club supplements classroom curricula with education at meetings, participates in collegiate and other cyber competitions, and establishes an environment that fosters education by sharing cyber concepts. The Cyber-Frontiers Club encourages cybersecurity awareness and the application of cybersecurity techniques by the added involvement with the tools and education needed to advance cybersecurity careers.

Criminal Justice Student Association
The Criminal Justice Student Association (CJSA) is an active component of the Government and Public Administration Department. Students who become members learn about the criminal justice field and gain valuable experience through a variety of academic programs, events, conferences, and other activities.
CJSA is a student-led organization open to undergraduate students with a major or minor in criminal justice or political science. All members must maintain high standards and exemplary moral and ethical behavior.
Over the past few years, CJSA has hosted various forums and symposiums such as annual Criminal Justice Forums each spring and fall. They actively give back to the community and regularly partner with local organizations for community service projects including: Red Cross, United Way, St. Jude, Women in Defense, TIP of Alabama, LEI, Limestone County/Athens Child Advocacy Center, Family Resource Center, and Boys and Girls Club.
CJSA also has collaborated with various surrounding schools to offer children Halloween Candy and Safety Tips and Anti-Bullying Awareness sessions. CJSA hosted a Voter’s Registration Drive on campus to connect academics with political awareness efforts. In addition, CJSA travels to other universities to participate in workshops and conferences related to leadership, minority, child advocacy, domestic violence, and other law-related programs to keep criminal justice students actively connected to their field.

American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics
The Athens State University Student Branch of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) is open to students and faculty with interests in the areas of aeronautics and aerospace technology, project management, accounting, and engineering. AIAA provides professional development and networking opportunities with local industry, government, and community for the purpose of personal and professional growth and employment.
