Athens State University senior Jessica Haley Lewter was elected Senior Class President for the current academic year. Lewter is from Elkmont and transferred to Athens State after receiving her associate’s degree from Calhoun Community College.
Lewter also serves as President of the Athens State Teacher Ambassadors and Kappa Delta Pi education honor society. She is involved with the Heritage Reading Council, Sigma Kappa Delta English honor society, Phi Theta Kappa Alumni Association and is the institution’s current Founders Queen.
Lewter is majoring in English with a minor in Education.
