Athens State’s Student Services provides essential programs and services which support the transfer, academic achievement, personal development, and quality of life of all students. Efficient enrollment and admissions services assist students in making effective transitions to the University. Educational partnerships and academic support programs promote student learning and help students integrate academic development with personal growth. Campus traditions and an active campus life encourage the development of student leadership, personal responsibility and accountability, and an inclusive and supportive learning community.
Accessibility Services (formerly Disability Services) is committed to providing students with disabilities equal access to Athens State University. The office aims to remove social and environmental barriers by working collaboratively with students, faculty, staff and the community. To achieve this goal, reasonable academic accommodations, assistive technology, and support services are utilized.
The Career Development Center provides assistance to Athens State students and Alumni in career planning, development and job seeking strategies. The department serves as a major link between students/Alumni and potential employers. We are here to assist students in identifying and fulfilling their future goals and aspirations.
A licensed professional counselor is available by appointment to discuss personal issues with currently enrolled students and Athens State University faculty and staff, on a brief-counseling basis. All counseling services are provided with your confidentiality in mind and offered at no charge to you.
The Enrollment Center is a one-stop full service center for students, providing a one-stop solution for many tasks and issues involving the transfer and enrollment process including Admissions, Financial Aid, Records, and more.

Our Financial Aid goal is to assist students in securing a quality education without missing an opportunity because of their financial situation. We meet our goal through two major objectives: supplement the efforts of our students and their parents in meeting educational costs and provide financial aid to students who would be unable to attend this institution without such assistance.
