Emergencies
Any disaster, unusual occurrence, utility malfunction or equipment failure that presents an imminent danger to life or property is considered an emergency and should be reported immediately to the Physical Plant Department at (256) 216-5341, (256) 216-5342 or (256) 216-5343 Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. After office hours, on holidays or weekends, contact the University Security Department at (256) 233-8222.
Submission Process
A Physical Plant work order must be submitted for all non-emergency requests during Physical Plant Department office hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. To submit a work order, email your requests to maintenance@athens.edu. You will receive an email indicating your “Ticket Number”. The ticket will be grouped in the unsolved tickets for the department. Physical Plant will accept the work order ticket and prioritize it and assign it to the proper personnel.
