Human resource management is the organizational function that deals with issues related to people, such as recruiting, hiring, compensation, performance management, organization development, safety, wellness, benefits, employee motivation, communication, administration, and training. Human Resource professionals provide the knowledge, tools, training, administrative services, coaching, legal and management advice, and talent management oversight to support the overall success of the organization. They are also typically responsible for organizational development that generates the culture of the organization, which communicates the mission, values, and overall “way of life” for organizational members. They are charged with oversight responsibilities to ensure that the organization appropriately builds teams and inspires employee empowerment.
