Congratulations class of 1975!

We invite you as a special guest in celebrating the 50th anniversary of your commencement from Athens College. This is a celebration to recognize your lifetime achievements these last 50 years and to thank you for being a valued member of our Alumni family.

Graduates from the class of 1975 will dress in full regalia and receive special recognition of joining the “50 Year Club” at our summer commencement. Prior to awarding diplomas to the class of 2025, you will cross the stage to receive your certificate as an official member of the “50 Year Club.” Immediately following the ceremony, you and your guests are invited to an intimate brunch with University leaders in Kares Library.

We hope you are able to join us in July and return to campus to celebrate your time at Athens College. We are extremely proud of your accomplishments and we are honored to have played a role in your success.

Please arrive by 9:15 AM in Carter Gymnasium to allow enough time to meet the other 50 Year Club members and dress for the ceremony. The ceremony starts promptly at 10 AM.

Yes and yes! We will provide you with a cap and gown for the ceremony. You are also welcome to bring your own.

View the campus map here. Carter Gymnasium is building number 9 and there is parking behind the building off Hobbs Street or across Pryor Street next to maintenance, building 15.

Accessible parking is available in the small lot in front of Carter Gymnasium. Parking attendants will help guide you when you arrive.

Business casual attire

The ceremony will be approximately 1.5 hours long.

Absolutely! We will customize your experience based on your personal needs.

As many as you would like! This is your celebration and we encourage your closest friends and family to join you.

Kares Library, building number 6 on the campus map.

Yes! Kares Library is a short walk from Carter Gymnasium. Shuttles are available by request.

There will not be a formal program for brunch. Guests are welcome to enjoy the buffet upon arrival.
