Athens State University is proud to invite you as our honored guest as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of your commencement and welcome you into our distinguished 50 Year Club.
This special recognition honors not only your academic achievement, but also the meaningful impact you have made over the past 50 years as leaders, professionals, and community members. We are grateful for your continued connection to Athens State and proud to call you part of our Alumni family.
Members of the Class of 1976 will dress in full academic regalia and receive special recognition during the Summer 2026 Commencement Ceremony. Prior to the awarding of diplomas to the Class of 2026, you will cross the stage to receive your 50 Year Club certificate from the President of Athens State University.
Immediately following the ceremony, you and your guests are invited to enjoy an intimate celebratory brunch with University leadership on campus.
We hope you will join us for this memorable milestone and return to campus to celebrate your time at Athens State. We are incredibly proud of your accomplishments and honored to have played a role in your journey.

Please arrive on Athens State campus at the Nazaretian Alumni Welcome Center at 8:30 AM to allow enough time to meet the other 50 Year Club members and dress for the ceremony. The Nazaretian Alumni Welcome Center is building #20 on the campus map linked here.
Yes to both! Athens State will provide you with a cap and gown for the ceremony. You are also welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
Complimentary parking is available near the Nazaretian Alumni Welcome Center. Shuttle service will be provided to and from Lindsay Lane Baptist Church. Guests should park at Lindsay Lane Baptist Church and follow signage for guest parking.
Yes, accessible parking is available at both locations.

The ceremony will last approximately 1.5 hours.
Absolutely! We will customize your experience based on your personal needs.
This is your celebration! You are welcome to invite your closest friends and family. One guest can ride with you on the shuttle and your others should meet you at Lindsay Lane Baptist Church.
Brunch is located at the Nazaretian Alumni Welcome Center. Building #20 on the campus map linked here.
There will not be a formal program for brunch. Guests are welcome to enjoy the buffet upon arrival and visit with University leadership and fellow alumni.
