At Athens State University, the Leadership in Child Care Scholarship is made available from funding by the Alabama Department of Human Resources to provide students with the opportunity to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education. This scholarship covers tuition and select fees for up to 12 credit hours each semester. The *priority deadlines to apply for this scholarship at Athens State University are: 

  • May 1 for the Fall Semester
  • October 1 for the Spring Semester
  • March 1 for the Summer Semester

*Abiding by the priority deadline ensures your application will be reviewed and submitted prior to the final deadlines of June 1, September 1, and April 1 for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters, respectively.
