Athens State’s Secondary Studies establishes a collaborative partnership between the College of Arts & Sciences and the College of Education, preparing students for careers teaching grades 6-12. Students pursuing secondary certification complete a degree in their chosen content area through the College of Arts & Sciences while completing coursework through the College of Education. This approach allows you to build deep knowledge in the subject you love while developing the teaching skills needed to bring that knowledge to life in the classroom.
