ASSP student sections are member communities specifically for student members aspiring to become safety professionals — offering leadership, education and networking opportunities.

ASSP student sections exist at select colleges and universities. They are designed for student members pursuing careers in the occupational safety and health (OSH) field. They provide additional opportunities for students to learn more about their chosen areas of study, promote interaction between students and safety professionals, and offer excellent, resume-building leadership opportunities for student section officers. Because student sections are housed at colleges and universities and supported by nearby ASSP chapters and regions, these groups offer the added benefit of local networking.

If you are a student pursuing an undergraduate or advanced safety-related degree, student membership is for you. Student dues are $15 per year and include one free practice specialty and common interest group. The Athens State University Pre-Law Society is a student group for those interested in attending law school or just wondering what it is like to be a lawyer. The Pre-Law Society conducts meetings and events throughout the year focused on the law school admissions process, preparation for the LSAT, and the general experience of being a practicing attorney.
