Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society

Alpha Sigma Lambda is a national honor society that recognizes academically outstanding adult students in higher education and is recognized as the official honor society for adult learners. Athens State University was accepted as a new member of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society (ASLS) as its Upsilon Kappa chapter on August 25, 2023.

The Greek organization’s aim is dedicated to recognizing the high scholastic achievements of adults who accomplish academic excellence while balancing competing interests at home, work, and in the community. To be eligible for Alpha Sigma Lambda, students must have completed 24 hours at Athens State University, be in the top 20% of their class, and have at least a 3.2 grade point average. Eligible students are sent an invitation to join in the fall and spring semesters.
