Thank you to everyone who chose to support Athenian Giving Day. On Tuesday, August 1, we raised over $79,000 in 24 hours from 102 donors. We are grateful to our community of donors who came together and made a difference for Athens State University and its students. We also appreciate the matching gift donation provided by the Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention.

Annual Fund/Greatest Need
Private funds are crucial in building a diverse student population and helping provide support for overall student success. Unrestricted funding supports the priority needs of Athens State University.
Emergency Student Assistance
This fund was established with the intention of providing short-term financial assistance to students experiencing personal emergencies. Students who receive assistance are not obligated to repay the award.
Scholarships
Many students rely on financial assistance to complete their education. Scholarship contributions allow talented student to see their dreams realized and helps make education possible.
Student Professional Development
We strive to help students develop, understand, and reflect upon their values, leadership skills, and goals. Help us create opportunities to allow students to discover their passions and realize their potential.
Study Abroad
In order to qualify and succeed in today’s work environment, students need to gain cultural awareness, sensitivity, and multicultural skills. Our study abroad program provides a rewarding and enriching student experience.
Veteran Student Support
We are a military-friendly school and embrace military service members, veterans, and family members as students. Donations directed to veteran student support will help ensure our Veterans Affairs team is prepared to serve those who served.
Men of Kennis
Men of Kennis is a program filling the need for male teachers of color in the classroom. The primary objective of the Men of Kennis program is to recruit and prepare minority students majoring in education at Athens State University to become highly-qualified, strong teachers and leaders.
