Marketing and Communications

As part of the University Marketing & Communications team, we consider ourselves enthusiastic ambassadors of Athens State University and our brand – and the value it represents.

Our focus is on building awareness and increasing support for Athens State University as a premier institution of higher learning that is unique both in composition and in character, significantly impacting the community, state, region, and beyond. We achieve this by developing and leading the University’s marketing and communications strategy and by collaborating with our partners across campus to engage various audiences and meet shared goals. These efforts are critical in fostering community support, alumni engagement, and donor interest, as well as attracting the highest quality students, faculty, and staff.

What We Do

The Office of Marketing & Communications is divided into three general areas – Marketing & Public Relations, Printing & Publications, and Website Services. Each of these general areas works closely with one another to plan and implement projects, develop comprehensive strategies, and produce high-quality marketing collateral that will effectively communicate with various audiences while advancing the mission of Athens State University.
