Common Transfer Student Questions
Yes! We invest more than $2 million each year into our students’ education through scholarship opportunities for transfer students, making Athens State the most affordable public, state school in Alabama and Tennessee. To transfer to Athens State as an undergraduate student, you should have at least 36 hours completed at an accredited institution. Students transferring to Athens State do not need to complete the SAT as part of their admission requirements.

- Submit official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and/or universities
