What is Amazon Career Choice?
Amazon’s Career Choice program is an educational benefit that empowers Amazon employees to learn new skills for career success at Amazon or elsewhere.
Amazon provides a variety of education and upskilling opportunities including pre-paid college tuition, industry certifications designed to lead to in-demand jobs, and foundational skills such as English language, high school diplomas, and GEDs.
What programs can I take with Athens State?
All undergraduate bachelor’s programs and certificate programs are eligible for the Amazon Career Choice program. Through the Colleges of Arts & Sciences, Business, and Education, Athens State offers over 50 majors and program options, many of which can be completed 100% online!
How do I apply?
With hands-on training, quality online education, and apprenticeship programs at Athens State, you can step into a career that will serve you well, no matter where you are. Amazon employees are encouraged to visit Career Choice for complete enrollment details.
Step 1: Connect with an Athens State Admissions team member at 256-233-8130 or admissions@athens.edu to help you select the best program that matches your future aspirations.
Step 2: Complete the application to Athens State for admission in order to register for classes.
Step 3: Next, go to Career Choice and select the “College” track and “Athens State University” as your school.
Step 4: Once admitted, follow up with an Admissions team member at 256-233-8130 or admissions@athens.edu to help you register for classes consistent with your degree plan.
Step 5: Lastly, visit amazoncareerchoice.com and submit a payment request for your chosen school and program. Athens State will confirm course details and either approve or deny your payment request. If approved, Amazon will pay the college directly.
