Frequently Asked Questions

For full consideration of all aid resources, all required documents need to be submitted for review to the Office of Student Financial Aid by the Priority Deadline of each semester:

• Fall Semester: June 15
• Spring Semester: November 15
• Summer Semester: April 15

Documents received after the priority deadline of each semester will be processed in the order received. No financial aid will be applied to your student account until all unsatisfied requirements are submitted, reviewed, accepted, processed, and posted which may take up to 15 days.

For faster processing times, if possible, please submit all requirements together at one time.

The required qualification is necessary to qualify for a position, and failure to substantiate each will preclude the possibility of an interview. Preferred (or desired) qualifications are not necessary to qualify for a position but may be used to select from among the applicants.

Candidates may bring item(s) specified by their testing vendor and valid government-issued ID(s). Candidates may not bring unauthorized items into the Testing Room and courtesy lockers are provided for storage of personal items.

These computers offer an internet browser and Notepad, but not Microsoft Office. 

Printing is available at $0.25 per page. All prints must be paid for at the front desk. We do not give refunds for unwanted print jobs.

Kares Library has both PCs and Macs for student use. Student computers are equipped with Microsoft Office and/or Apple iWork Suites and other selected programs that support Athens State University curriculum. PCs for public use have only an internet browser and Notepad.

After the first scheduled date, refunds are sent out each Friday. Contact [email protected] for more details about set up and times.

Changes can be made to your application/profile at any time. Any changes you make to your application will be included for any new position for which you apply. If changes to an application that has already been submitted are necessary, please contact the Human Resources office at [email protected] or by phone at 256-216-3333 so that your application can be reactivated.

Unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund allow the University to use the money where it is needed the most and support the general operating budget.
