I come from a creative family who has utilized more traditional mediums and practices. My artwork is unique in that I use modern processes and digital mediums.
I started my education at Calhoun Community College because of my interest in the art classes offered pertaining to my interest in cinematography. That interest developed into a desire to learn 3D animation and motion graphic design. Overall, I’ve taken many classes that have allowed my creativity to grow.
My mother is an Athens State alumnus, so I have always been familiar with the university. The Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences approached me at the Student Art Show at Calhoun and congratulated me on my Best of the Show Award. He also encouraged me to consider the art program at Athens State, so I evaluated the program and decided pursuing a degree in art met my academic goals.
I am currently a Freelance Digital Designer, but after graduation, I’ve been accepted as a UX/UI Design Intern at Hudson Alpha for the summer. In the future, I’ll be seeking a career that allows me to further my creative interests and skills.
