The 7th Juried Faculty & Alumni Art Exhibition is scheduled to open on Monday, September 9 in the Alabama Center for the Arts’ Main Gallery. The show will feature 49 works from 29 artists consisting of faculty, staff, or alumni of Calhoun Community College and Athens State University. The show will remain open until Friday, November 8. An artist reception will be held on Friday, September 20 at 5:30 pm. Both the exhibit and reception will be free and open to the public.
Ann Moeller served as this year’s exhibition juror. Moeller is a versatile professional artist accomplished as a classical oil painter, muralist, sculptor, public artist, and entrepreneur. She credits her development and success as an artist to lifelong study. Now thriving in Huntsville’s vibrant Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment, her internationally collected work poetically connects humanity and nature, inspiring wonder. Moeller’s influence spans coral reef sculptures on the bottom of the ocean to her paintings archived on the moon.
